General Features of the Schemes
Under the current strategic direction, the MRIC has adopted a strong business focus to promote the development and management of innovation in the Private Sector. The schemes have been designed with particular features to facilitate the process.
The proposal should also meet the following criteria for eligibility:
(i) Relevance to the objective of the scheme,
(ii) Mutually relevant to the needs of the Private Sector in Mauritius and/or Partner Country(ies),
(iii) Particular added-value elements,
(iv) Capacity to innovate,
(v) Capacity Building,
(vi) Industrial research and development
The applicants/consortia retain rights in technical data, information, know-how, including software developed under this grant. IPR identified and developed as a result of funding provided will belong to the applicants/consortia.
Sharing of IPR among the collaborating partners will be subject to the consortium agreements that most closely meet their requirements.
The scheme provide matching grant funding, with the applicant providing a percentage of the funding requested.
Project Leaders are required to bring in a contribution as both in-cash and in-kind.
